Dubaï, October 22-24 2015
For the first time, Orinox attended the AVEVA World Summit as a sponsor, from October 20-22 2015 in Dubaï. Assisted by the robot NAO, the Orinox stand attracted the attention of delegates to learn about our services around AVEVA AVP, AVEVA Integrated Engineering & Design (IE&D) and LFM Software. This experience enabled us to expand Orinox's recognition among 400+ delegates from over 30 countries in Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and in Asia.
AVEVA and the Digital Asset
This year, the AVEVA presentations explored the investment opportunities offered around the Digital Asset.
AVEVA Cloud offers a central data storage option for access worldwide. AVEVA Cloud allows designers and administrators to access AVEVA E3D directly via internet, eliminating the need for local servers. Eventually, the Cloud may offer a way to offer AVEVA E3D training services and technical services from anywhere in the world.
The Hyperbubble adds a 3D dimension to the Trusted Living Point Cloud by integrating multiple Bubble Views to visualize laser scan data. It is now possible to "walk" through the virtual 3D environment that "stitches" together point cloud data in real time, with high-resolution visualization like the Bubble View. This will be an especially useful tool to modify industrial plants from Brown Field clients.
AVEVA Engage
The true revelation of the event was the resease of AVEVA Engage, a new solution from the Future of Decision Support. This tool, formerly known by the code name AVEVA Voyager, represents a new solution that will facilitate collaborative decision making for industrial plant design through construction and operation. AVEVA Engage offers instant access through a touch-screen interface to all the data of the Digital Asset throughout the entire life cycle. The 3D interface revolutionizes the model visualization in its full complexity. This tool enables users to access the data through a simple and intuitive interface, including all 1D, 2D, and 3D data related to the project. With this innovative solution, it is even possible to filter piping elements by module in order to view the representation of a "line list".
The objective of AVEVA Engage is to make all data and documents related to the project available to stakeholders from anywhere in the world in order to design, review, plan, and execute. This solution will surely revolutionize the way we work and interact with data from even the largest projects.
Keynote : Danny Forster
The keynote speaker this year was Danny Forster, a recognized producer, educator, architect. He shared his knowledge of worldwide architecture from his television show "Build it Bigger" on the Discovery Channel. His experiences served as a reminder of the impact of industrial design on both communities and the local environment.
TOTAL
Total showed a video detailing the Life Cycle Asset Management for the Martin Linge platform in Norway. This project will be groundbreaking in the user of remote control of the plant by a subsea cable that will measure 163 kilometers. Total E&P has chosed to use the AVEVA software suite in order to optimize the 3D model, and AVEVA AVP for model visualization and immersive operator training. The platform is scheduled to be in put in operation in the beginning of 2018.
