AVEVA World Summit 2014 Berlin

Maxime Fourreau, Alexandre Henneront, and Kimberly Vaccaro attended the AVEVA World Summit in Berlin from October 14-16, 2014. Some of the world’s leading AVEVA clients presented their experience with new AVEVA technology and services, and we met potential customers from Europe, Malaysia, and the United States (Trimble, Capgemini, Technip, SBM Offshore, DotProduct, and AMT).

Digital Asset

AVEVA believes that for every physical asset, there must be be a digital asset. This Digital Asset approach helps companies improve the quality of projects, meet deadlines, and reduce rework and risks throughout operational phases.

The data and documents from any design software or management source are accessible and identifiable, and relevant information is made available to the right people at the right time.

AVEVA E3D Cloud

So far the use of AVEVA solutions is limited to software, licenses and data stored on networks or local computers. With AVEVA Cloud, projects and data are stored in a centrally, and accessible anywhere in the world. AVEVA Cloud will enable technicians and administrators to access AVEVA E3D projects directly through the internet, eliminating the need for local storage. Orinox will be able to offer AVEVA E3D training and technical services even more efficiently.

AVEVA AVP (Activity Visualisation Platform)

Technology that was originally developed for video games offers a realistic 3D virtual world for operator training. AVEVA AVP provides an opportunity to engage employees and teams in a simulated environment. This solution will enable them to gain experience with daily operations or simulate realistic emergencies.

AVEVA LFM 3D Data Capture

Effective digital asset management is essential for large-scale projects. For existing facilities, the quality of the digital information is often poor. Laser scanning has become more powerful and affordable than ever, but there were still technical limitations: the "bubble view" mode for high-quality 360° views, but they are only represented by individual locations. The point clouds produce a 3D model of the space, but this version is not very realistic. Recently, AVEVA has developed a new tool capable of integrating the bubble views and point clouds, where dynamic interaction with the scatter plot is paired with the graphic quality of the bubble view.

AVEVA Touch Prototype "AVEVA Voyager"

Under the code name "AVEVA Voyager," AVEVA has developed a tool for large touch screens. Engineers, designers, and managers will be able to access the equipment, specifications, datasheets, documents, and 3D models within an ultra-realistic 3D interface.
