On the 16th of June 2015, ORINOX took part in the AVEVA World France User Meeting held in Paris. To celebrate the the 20th anniversary of this event that yearly gathers the community of AVEVA users, AVEVA CEO Richard Longdon was there to thank the different clients and partners. Conferences and workshops were organized throughout the day to share the latest advances of the AVEVA solutions and to discuss the stakes surrounding conception in the strategic fields of oil, gas, electricity, marine and chemical industry. .
Virtual Reality technical booth
12 ORINOX collaborators were there to show the 250 people attending the results of the ORINOX digital cell work on virtual reality. Project managers, lead programmers and engineers currently in missions for clients also attended. As it did last year, ORINOX ran a technical booth. Attendees got the chance to try out Immersive Training Simulations and to experience virtual reality in an industrial environment. The features demonstrated on the booth raised curiosity and appealed to the many clients attending (EDF, Technip…). It convinced them of the utility of such a technology to save time and improve quality while conceiving the plant, and also to improve safety for future operators thanks to efficient immersive trainings. This reinforces ORINOX’s conviction of the rightness of its R&D policy and its choice of this innovative technology.
IE&D et Brownfield
In the morning, one of the conferences held focused on the use of IE&D (Integrated Engineering & Design) along with the AVEVA Net solution to create a tool of management and organization of digital data to help “design in context”. Revamping processes (rehabilitation of plant design) were at the center of another conference that described the use of laser technology in Brownfield projects. Both IE&D and Brownfield projects are part of the ORINOX expertise and services.
AVEVA news
A conference was dedicated to the AVEVA Engage solution that allows collaborative decision making thanks to an immediate access to all the Digital Assert information. This solution of visualization that presents a touch interface was tested by the different collaborators during lunch break.
Technical workshops were dedicated to showcasing some AVEVA solutions or to present their latest improvements. Attendees discovered the advances integrated in the AVEVA E3D 2.1 software and the improvements of the AVEVA Instrumentation & Electrical software. They also got to see a demonstration of the advanced structural detailing software of steelwork design AVEVA Bocad.
