Calgary, September 14-18 2015
From September 14-18 2015, Maxime Fourreau participated in an exploratory mission of unconventional Oil & Gas extraction organized by BusinessFrance.
This mission began in Houston with Vincent Brunereau and a delegation of French business owners. It was a great opportunity to tour the headquarters of Schlumberger in Houston, including a drilling platform for training purposes and an enormous FabLab similar to the one found at NASA.
Statoil, Noble Energy and ConocoPhillips hosted the French delegation in their local Houston offices to present their North American Onshore activities.
The mission continued in Canada. Upon arrival in Calgary, TOTAL Exploration Production presented current projects in the Alberta region. The next day, the French delegation flew to Fort McMurray to visit the Suncor production center.
The mission ended in Calgary with a presentation of Shell's ongoing activities, and a strategic meeting with AVEVA Canada to discuss upcoming development opportunities for Orinox.
Even in a difficult economic climate, these numerous meetings with major players offered a perspective of development for projects in North America for 2016.
